Exposure Modes

Also known as camera modes, this dial is your starting point. It lets you decide two things: how to set the exposure and how to achieve the creative effect you want. Exposure means how much light goes into your camera–how much light the sensor was exposed to. Light enters via both the aperture and shutter, so there’s a balancing act needed. We use this dial to tell the camera how we’re going to balance the two.
