Look for Lines

Including a line in your photo can create a sense of depth--especially a line that starts from the edge of the frame and goes into the scene. We call it a "leading line" because it leads the viewer's eye towards a point of interest, helping them easily interpret the photo. Whenever you see a long road, a meandering river, a pathway, or a train track, you have an opportunity to create an interesting photo.
